Software Freedom Day 2018 to be organized at Amrit Campus

Software Freedom Day 2018 is going to be celebrated on 15th September, Saturday at Amrit Campus, Lainchaur. FOSS Nepal Community, a pioneer group for spreading awareness regarding free and open source is as one of the celebrating partners for the event.

FOSS Nepal Community is a team of volunteers who believe in the usage of Free/Open Source Software (FOSS). The primary objective of the community is to promote, develop and diversify the usage of Free/Open Source Software in Nepal. They have won multiple global recognition for their contribution to different SFD celebrations.

As a part of the event, the Open Street Map Workshop is being facilitated by Kathmandu Living Lab(KLL). Manoj Thapa, from KLL, who is a veteran mapper of the OSM community and is ranked as the number one mapper of Nepal, will be facilitating the workshop.
